Clone Doubs and Emmy Snubs

There will be a lengthy post about Tatiana Maslany's emmy snub after by casual day shift.

When you think about amazing TV performance of the last year, heck, of the last several years an easy select few pop up into your head. Bryan Cranston as Walter White in Breaking Bad for instance comes to mind instantly. But someone else comes to mind when we talk about outstanding performances and if she doesn't then she should be. (You are not watching the right television shows my friend, may I suggest Orphan Black).  A dynamic woman who has created not one but several different characters each worthy of a separate nomination in the Best *insert several categories here*. Tatiana Maslany has shown that she is a dynamite force this year and was surely guaranteed at least AN Emmy nomination but when the time came...nothing.

I sat back and said to myself that maybe I was bias because I love Orphan Black, and that I had just grown such a love/respect/fondness for the actress and the amazing performances she delivers week to week but when the news broke that Maslany was not receiving a nomination people immediately took to social media to voice their disgust. Clone Club, celebs and journalists all loudly proclaimed that Maslany had been robbed, no doubt a snub. Twitter campaigns such as #EmmyforMaslany began and the Clone Club really showed the world its passion for the series.

Each of the character performances Tatiana Maslany delivers is worthy of a separate nomination. Her abilities as an actress are nothing but short of amazing. Her work ethic can only be explained by her actually cloning herself for the hours she spends filming. We get lost in each of the characters and believe them to be different people so much so we often forget that Maslany herself is playing them. "Who's the girl that plays Helena again? Oh right..." so the Emmy snub is still the most mind blowing thing. Clone Club conquer and lets show the OB cast and crew just how much our little show means to us!
